Abstract

In this article, we investigated the circulation of scientific disinformation and vaccine opposition on Telegram in Brazil. Using descriptors associated with the topic, we identified four groups that addressed the issue of vaccination from September 2023 to August 2024 and it was found that, after the international public health emergency period of the COVID-19 pandemic, anti-vaccine groups on Telegram remain active and use the platform as a repository of disinformation content and a channel for distributing false information and conspiracy theories about immunization in the country.
