Abstract

This article analyzes the discourses on violence against women by the Colectiva Me pasó en la UCR on Facebook, with the objective of examining the discourses developed on the digital social network Facebook as a public space for action. The theoretical framework is based on the public sphere, intersectional feminism, and symbolic violence. The approach is qualitative in nature. As a general conclusion, it is established that digital media, as public spaces for action, provided the members of the Collective with a means to raise their voices against gender-based violence.
