Abstract

This scientific article places science communication in the context of sharing scientific knowledge with different social groups, based on communication and education. In terms of methodology, a questionnaire was administered to 83 people in Latin America, including researchers and science communicators, with the exception of Brazil.

The results show that scientific research on science communication is necessary in Latin America. For those who practice science communication, training and updating of educommunicative elements is essential, and it is important to focus on vulnerable groups in the area, with the understanding that this is non-institutionalized education.
