Abstract

This text reflects on the community-based feminism present in the female voices that narrate the history of Indigenous Communication in Brazil, from the 1970s to the present day. Using Transmethodology, it reaffirms the urgency of epistemic openness to dialogue and listening to Indigenous wisdom, for the sake of decolonizing practices. Yebá Belō and Sukuryu-tapuya guide us through the Canoe-Serpent of this knowledge, exploring ethnomultimedia and three theoretical-methodological premises in confluence with Indigenous thinkers, articulating ancestral and contemporary narratives and pointing to theoretical and practical horizons for research in Indigenous communication.
